Protect and Preserve your investment

After each use:

  • Gently wash your cutting board with mild dish soap and warm water, using a soft sponge or cloth to prevent scratching. Avoid immersing it in water or subjecting it to excessive moisture, as this can lead to warping and damage.

  • Dry it thoroughly before storing, ensuring proper air circulation to prevent the growth of bacteria.

  • Investing in a pair of dedicated cutting board feet adds an extra layer of protection. By lifting it slightly off your countertop, these feet create space for airflow, minimizing the chances of moisture buildup and prolonging the life of your board.

  • Don't forget to occasionally sand your cutting board. Over time, scratches and dents may appear, robbing it of its original satin-like finish. With sandpaper of an appropriate grit, gently sand away imperfections, revealing the hidden luster beneath. This simple act of rejuvenation not only enhances the board's appearance but also smoothes its surface, ensuring longevity and maintaining optimal hygiene.

  • Finally, treat your board to a generous coating of food grade mineral oil or other food safe board oil. 80 Grit uses food safe, all natural Walrus Oil.

  • All owners of an 80 Grit board receive lifetime, no charge, refurbishments. Please ask for details.
